Refund Policy
When refunds are available, how to request one, and what we don't refund.
14-day money-back guarantee
If you upgrade to a paid plan and decide ProposalForge isn't for you, email [email protected] within 14 days of your first paid charge and we'll issue a full refund. The guarantee applies once per customer per lifetime.
Cancellations
- You can cancel from Settings → Billing at any time. Cancellation stops the next renewal and you keep paid features until the current billing period ends.
- We do not pro-rate refunds for partial months on cancellation. If you cancel mid-period, no refund is issued for the remainder of the period.
- Annual plans are eligible for the 14-day guarantee but are not refundable beyond that window.
Plan changes (upgrades and downgrades)
- Upgrade mid-period: Stripe pro-rates the difference and charges the next invoice accordingly. You get immediate access to higher-tier features.
- Downgrade mid-period: change takes effect at the end of the current period. We do not refund the difference.
Failed payments
If a renewal payment fails, Stripe attempts up to four retries over about two weeks. We will email you each time. If all retries fail we will downgrade your account to the Free plan; your proposals are preserved.
What we don't refund
- Subscription periods after the 14-day guarantee window.
- Usage-based AI costs (if/when introduced).
- Custom-built or migration services.
- Refunds for accounts terminated for breach of our Terms or Acceptable Use Policy.
How to request a refund
Email [email protected] from the address on your account. Tell us the charge date and any relevant context. Approved refunds are issued back to the original payment method via Stripe within 5–10 business days.
Statutory rights
Nothing in this policy limits the consumer-protection rights you have under the law of your country of residence. EEA consumers, for example, have a 14-day cooling-off period under the Consumer Rights Directive. Australian consumers have rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
